Your Safety, Our Mission!

When working with live electricity, safety is undoubtedly the most important prerequisite. The same applies when using tools.
To minimize the risk of accidents as much as possible, our tools must pass nine important tests that strictly comply with VDE (Association for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies) standards. If there are any defects, we will dispose of the tool or the entire batch. Only tools that successfully pass all tests and bear the VDE mark are available for your use.
1. 100% Insulation
Electrical insulation is crucial when working with live components. This is why we test every VDE tool in a special water bath at 10,000 volts. Current is applied to the tool's insulation in the water bath for 10 seconds. The tool must not experience an electrical breakdown. In random sample tests, we extend this test to three minutes.

2. Use in Cold Environments
To ensure our tools can be used safely even in extremely cold conditions, we subject them to an impact test. First, the tool is placed in a -40°C freezer for two hours. Subsequently, a pre-prepared weight is dropped onto the insulation layer three times in a row. No cracks must appear afterwards.

3. Sturdiness
High torque situations can occur when working with screwdrivers. The tip of the tool, in particular, must be able to withstand this. We test this in a special device where the tool is clamped and heavily loaded. The test is passed if the mechanical requirements of the corresponding ISO standard are met.

4. Dimensional Accuracy
We measure dimensions with high precision. Our experts use calipers to check compliance with VDE requirements for test tools. The uninsulated tip must not exceed 18 mm, and the exact thickness of the insulation layer is verified.

5. Heat Test
Electric current is always a potential ignition source. Therefore, we test the burning behavior of VDE tools. The tool is fixed horizontally over a flame. The test is passed if flames on the tool reach a height of 120 mm and last for 20 seconds.
