The SJ-200 series portable surface roughness testers have made outstanding contributions to industrial development and technological advancement with their precise measurement performance, and now they've advanced even further.
This series maintains excellent portability and field usability while also featuring a touch screen for more intuitive and convenient operation.
The built-in battery enables measurements without a power source, providing approximately 1000 measurements per full charge. When paired with the Mitutoyo wireless data transmitter U-WAVE-TIB, it enables wireless, paperless operation.
This device is easy to operate, highly compatible, and feature-rich, capable of meeting various manufacturing requirements.
Intuitive Touch Screen Operation
The device features a touch screen and a new user interface. You can switch display screens and adjust settings with just a touch of your finger. In addition to touch operation, the SJ-220 also supports swipe and slide gestures, making measurement work easy for anyone. You can also disable touch screen operation by holding the PAGE button.
Large Screen, Clear and Easy to Use
The screen size has been increased to 2.8 inches, achieving high visibility while maintaining the device's compact dimensions for convenient one-handed operation. The backlight function ensures the screen remains clearly visible even in dimly lit environments. You can also switch the screen display orientation from vertical to horizontal.
Physical Buttons for Enhanced Operational Convenience Alongside Touch Screen
Even if you're wearing gloves and cannot use the touch screen, you can still operate the SJ-220 via physical buttons. The newly added HOME button allows you to return to the home screen with one press, display the daily menu, and call up calibration measurement and measurement conditions.
Wireless Connectivity Now Available, Significantly Improving Measurement Efficiency
The optional U-WAVE-TIB transmitter supports wireless display of measurement results, setting measurement conditions, and bidirectional communication. By connecting the optional wireless communication unit, wireless communication via Bluetooth® with devices (PCs or smartphones) equipped with the dedicated application* becomes possible. In addition to receiving measurement results, the terminal can also send measurement condition settings and measurement start signals, enabling wireless measurement.
Send and Receive Measurement Data via USB Communication
Connect the SJ-220 to a PC using a USB cable and install the dedicated application "SJ-Communication-Tool" to enable bidirectional communication. Setting measurement conditions on the PC can improve measurement efficiency.
