Features and Advantages

In addition to possessing the most distinctive "R Gash" flute feature of ADO drills, the newly adopted oil hole design is another major characteristic of ADOX.

By increasing the cross-sectional area of the oil hole, the amount of cutting oil discharged from the drill tip is maximized, thereby improving tool durability and machining stability, achieving efficient machining.

Furthermore, this oil hole design has been optimized according to the R Gash flute, allowing it to maximize the performance of R Gash.

Even stainless steel, which is difficult to machine with traditional general-purpose drills, can now be handled. Since one tool can handle various workpiece materials, tool consolidation and streamlined usage can be achieved.

Simultaneously, thanks to the "MEGA COOLER" technology adopted by ADOX, sufficient cutting oil supply can be obtained even under conditions of low coolant pressure, using oil-based cutting oil, or small diameter specifications, delivering stable high performance.

Machining Case Studies

Stainless Steel Machining with Small Diameter and Low Coolant Pressure

Typically, in small diameter machining below φ3mm, due to the small oil hole diameter, if coolant pressure is insufficient, it is difficult to discharge an adequate amount of cutting fluid from the tool tip, preventing stable and long tool life. ADOX can discharge a sufficient amount of cutting fluid even under relatively low coolant pressure, achieving over 3 times the durability of conventional tools.

Machining Using Oil-Based Cutting Fluid

Oil-based cutting fluids, due to their higher viscosity, are often difficult to discharge fully. As a result, conventional tools cannot evacuate chips smoothly, leading to significant fluctuations in tool life. ADOX can achieve stable and long life even under such conditions.

Increasing Coolant Flow for Higher Efficiency and Longer Life

In environments with relatively high coolant pressure, further increasing the flow rate improves cooling, lubrication, and chip evacuation at the cutting edge. As a result, higher machining efficiency and longer life compared to conventional tools can be achieved simultaneously.

Reducing Power Consumption by Lowering Coolant Pressure

The effect of MEGA COOLER is not only about improving performance by increasing cutting fluid flow but also about obtaining the same cutting fluid flow as conventional tools even at lower coolant pressure, thereby significantly reducing the power consumption of the coolant pump, which accounts for the largest electricity consumption in machining processes.

ADOX does not experience a decline in tool performance even under low coolant pressure. Through the effects of R Gash—low resistance, low vibration cutting, and chip breaking—tool life is extended. Therefore, ADOX also possesses environmental performance that can reduce power consumption.
