Applications
The workpiece is HT250 gearbox housing at a hardness of around 200HBW. The client expected longer tool service life and lower machining costs based on the original cutting tools. Machining is performed with a φ63 mm six-tooth MET190 cutter loaded with ADGT120408R-GM-GK4125 inserts.
Under this working condition, ADGT inserts deliver stable cutting performance. Their service life is over 50% longer than the original imported cutting inserts. It effectively cuts tool replacement times, elevates machining efficiency and brings obvious economic benefits for customers.

The workpiece is a 45# steel housing with deep cavity machining. The customer demands the perpendicularity of layered side milling be kept within 0.01 mm without visible tool joint marks. A φ32 mm 3-tooth MET190 square shoulder tool holder equipped with ADGT180608R-GM-GPM7120 inserts is adopted for machining.
Against weak clamping stiffness, long tool overhang, strict perpendicularity and high surface requirements, our ADGT inserts achieve excellent machining results. On-site tests confirm the surface is smooth with perpendicularity within 0.01 mm, free of visible or tactile tool marks and comparable to imported competitors.

Featuring high-precision insert geometry paired with high-rigidity tool bodies, this series effortlessly machines a wide range of materials including steel, cast iron and stainless steel. It delivers consistent and reliable performance throughout the entire machining process from roughing to finishing, effectively helping you cut costs, boost productivity and improve finished part quality.
