BIG DAISHOWA Boring Tools Suitable for Small-Diameter Machining

BIG Boring Tool for Small-Diameter Machining

1. Main Applications

As part shapes continue to change, the machining depth of small-diameter holes is becoming deeper. This product uses a carbide boring bar to reduce chatter during machining. It further improves deep hole machining processes, and the 2-edge small-diameter rough boring tool enables efficient through-hole machining.

2. Internal Structure

The machining range can be adjusted via the radial adjustment screw of the insert seat. By aligning the body's alignment mark with the diameter scale line, adjustments of about 0.2mm can be made. It employs a serrated structure for high connection rigidity.

3. Machining Results

Good through-hole machining results at L/D=6 or less.

  • Workpiece material: S55C
  • Cutting speed: 150m/min
  • Feed rate: 0.2mm/rev
  • Depth of cut: 2mm/Φ

4. Machining Range

Φ16-Φ21

5. Insert Selection

6. Cutting Parameters

  • Generally for use with center through coolant. Cutting speed must be lowered for external oil supply.
  • Blind hole processing may damage inserts and tools, as cutting chips clog at the back of the hole.
  • Remove cutting chips at the small bottom of the hole several times for processing.
